Specialised security officers
It doesn’t matter how big someone is, what their mate taught them, or how long they have done a job. Poor training = poor results.
Practice makes permanent, not perfect.
Poor training or guesswork compromises the safety of the security officer, those they are meant to be looking after, and the general welfare and credibility of your event.
Over 17 years on the job
First Contact has a track record that spans over 17 years of being involved with specialised security requirements for high risk events, large concerts, 2 royal visits, diplomatic visits, VIP’s, AGM’s, licensed premises, and general events.
When It Really matters, First Contact has what it takes.
Where We began
April 2002, First Contact was established as an events and licensed premises security provider, however developed into a business that provides a wide range of services at a very reliable level. All delivered by trained, competent, and licensed security officers.
Not so long ago, all that mattered was if the guards were big. Licensing, training, and planning were paid little to no attention at all.
Since commencement, First Contact has maintained a comprehensive training program that has kept our staff while delivering some of the most challenging security services, all while protecting our client patrons, investment, and credibility.
First Contact literally wrote the best practice for licensed premises security when its training course ‘The Professional Door Person’ was used to create NZQA unit standard 22604 - Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements of a door person in the hospitality industry.
The company other Security Companies turn to
First Contact provided over 40 specialist barrier crew for the Eminem concert at Westpac Stadium, February 2019.
In addition to barrier staff we provided Executive Drivers, Back of House, and Hotel security for this event.
Thanks NiCola and Donna, I know you were in their uniform but you were part of an amazing First Contact team who (according to the promoter) “did a spectacular job”.
Locally and Nationally
First Contact delivers security services from hotel and stage security through to executive driver and personal protection staff throughout New Zealand.
