Specialised Guard Services is the licensed security provider for the First Contact group of companies. With our head office in Wellington, we are licensed through the Department for Courts, and are proud to be 100% New Zealand owned and operated.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SPECIALISED GUARD SERVICES?
It is our belief that whether we are checking your premises is secure or we are developing and implementing a comprehensive security package, the service and the value for money you receive from us remains the same.
We achieve this with:
TRAINING - All of our staff either hold or are actively working through their National Certificate in Security (level 3). We boast more NZQA level 3 qualified staff than any other security company in Wellington.
TRACKING - We enlist the latest in GPS and guard tour recording systems to provide our clients with totally transparent visit records.
CONTACTABILITY - Not only can you reach our patrol service (not an answer service) 24 hours a day, but you also have direct access to the director of the company 24 hours a day.
ACCOUNTABILITY - All services we provide we do so with complete transparency and we stand accountable for all actions we take as a company. If our clients have any concerns, they are dealt with immediately.
RETURN ON INVESTMENT - We are as cost competitive as any other company. Where we differ is the training quality of the staff we provide - our rates are competitive; our staff exceed expectation.
REPORTING - We can either develop a system of reporting to suit you or you can take advantage of our already tried and tested reporting systems. Either way, you will be made aware of any incidents we discover and you will have access to any patrol reports relating to your premises.
STAFF - All of our staff are well presented, speak clear English, have good customer service skills, comply with physical fitness requirements as outlined by the NZQA and are required to meet presentation levels that include restrictions on mobile phones, jewellery, chewing gum and smoking on duty.
OUR FLEET
Specialised Guard Services operate the latest models of small patrol cars. They are regularly serviced to increase longevity and decrease our impact on the environment.
All of our vehicles are GPS tracked for reporting reasons but also for staff welfare and performance management.
PATROL SERVICES
Nightly patrol services are available to perform checks on your premises at set or random times throughout the night.
Each site will have an electronic visit chip allocated to it so we can report to you exactly what time our guard on site and for how long.
STATIC GUARDS
Static guard services can either be overt (uniformed guards) or covert (plain clothes) depending on your requirements.
Our guards are trained in loss prevention work, managing critical situations and interfacing effectively with the police.
TRAINING
This is a point we make repeatedly as we believe it is an area of true added value to our clients.
Our commitment to training has seen us:
- involved with reviewing the National Qualification
- developing the level 4 unit for the National Qualification
- developing an NZQA unit standard for specialised security.
We are proud of the fact that we:
- are an NZQA registered workplace assessor
- have over 50 graduate of the National Certificate in Security
- have over 160 qualifications held by those staff
- have 4 NZQA qualified workplace assessors actively working
- are the only company in Wellington with an assessor qualified to access people from other security companies.
