Introducing First Contact Specialised Services (FCSS)

First Contact Specialised Services was established in April 2002 to provide trained security staff to both licensed premises and events.

Through our business unit Specialised Guard Services (SGS) we are a licensed security company with the Department for Courts (701444).

 

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM FIRST CONTACT?

As a client of First Contact you can expect from your investment:

QUALIFICATIONS - All FCSS staff are contractually required to actively participate in all training offered by the company. A failure to train would result in the staff member being removed from their shifts.

PRESENTATION - We have very strict policies governing behaviour of FCSS staff, this includes restricting use of mobile phones, chewing gum, smoking and other activities that promote a less than professional image.

UNIFORM - FCSS can either attire staff in standard uniform or in gear that suits your event specifically.

COMMUNICATIONS - All tasks undertaken by FCSS staff use the most appropriate communication gear to meet the unique requirements of each task they are assigned with.

CONTACTING US - We are available 24 hours a day, every day.

TRAINING - We offer our clients an array of training courses (almost all at no cost) that are either delivered by us or by an external provider.

CONSISTENCY - Since 2002, First Contact has consistently provided an unequalled level of qualified staff, service, protection and training to our clients. This consistency gives our clients peace of mind that their investment is being managed (protected) correctly.

INSURANCE - In addition to our Public Liability Insurance, we also offer our clients Professional Liability Insurance. If any action (or failure to take action) results in loss to our clients, we stand accountable.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

We are proud of the fact that we can boast:

  • Over 50 graduates in the NZQA National Certificate in Security (Level 3).
  • Over 160 NZQA qualifications.
  • More NZQA registered licensed premises security staff than any other company in New Zealand.
  • We developed the material used to implement the NZQA unit standard for specialised security.
  • We were part of the development team for the new Level 4 NZQA qualification for the National Certificate in Security.
  • We are a registered workplace assessor, meaning we can train and assess our own staff to NZQA levels.
  • Over 90% of our permanent staff hold their full First Aid Certificate.
  • We are the critical situation training provider for the Department of Internal Affairs.
  • Finalist in the Hospitality Association of New Zealand (HANZ) Excellence in Training award for 2008 & 2009.
